Physicians for Social Responsibility maintains its national influence from a grassroots network of about 30 local Chapters across the country. They act autonomously in their communities and work on at least two of the three core mission areas of national PSR.

PSR also has nearly 70 student chapters at schools of medicine and public health across the country. They are actively engaged in the academic environment as well as their communities.
